Hand-Made Instruments: While most music stores use laminated factory instruments for their rental fleet, Cleveland Violins rental instruments are hand-carved from solid maple and spruce. As musicians and teachers, we understand what difference a good quality instrument makes in the learning experience, especially for beginners. A poorly made instrument is not only visually appalling, but more importantly, inferior in tone and playability, which might lead to the premature decision for both the parents and child to give up. In contrast, each of our instruments is handled individually, from the selection and matching of wood to the making, setup, and final testing.

100% Rental Equity: Though we maintain a high standard for all our rental instruments, your child, after years of serious study, may decide one day he or she needs to have something just a little bit better. Through our rental program, your child can look forward to choosing a fine instrument from our large collection, without putting a strain on your finances at the beginning. Your deposit and rental fees count as equity toward your future purchase, 100%, no matter how long you rent.

Maintenacne & Insurance: In the unfortunate event that the rented instrument is accidentally damaged, you will find relief in the insurance coverage as part of the maintenance plan. Your child will get a replacement instrument or bow without losing a day’s practice.

Free Delivery: For parents who have busy schedules that prevent trips to our shops, Cleveland Violins offers free delivery to your child’s school if a rental contract is signed prior to the beginning of the school orchestra program. Out-of-season delivery can be arranged for a nominal fee.
